Our Owner, Creator, and Executive Chef.

Jason Wyrick’s life was changed by going Plant-Based and reversing his diabetes! He became the first plant-based chef to teach in the world-famous Le Cordon Bleu program at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute and is a NY Times bestselling author. He believes that eating clean does not mean compromising on flavor.


Jason co-wrote 21 Day Weight Loss Kickstart, provided food editing, and contributed recipes to Blue Zones Kitchen.


He has been featured on national TV, the NY Times, LA Times, VegNews, Vegetarian Times, and other major publications. He has taught classes around the world for professionals and assisted in product development for several mid to large-scale national companies.


He has cooked for celebrities, tech moguls, and politicians like Corey Booker, and was invited to cook for the First Family. He believes that food should be accessible, healthy, and sustainable without compromising on flavor.

Real Food Gives Back

Chef Jason Wyrick, founder of The Vegan Taste, has made a significant impact by donating over 10,000 healthy plant-based meals every year to families in need. His commitment to promoting plant-based nutrition extends beyond his business as he seeks to ensure that those who are struggling have access to nutritious, flavorful meals. Many of the families he helps are single parent families with children who are working multiple jobs and do not have the time and access to craft healthy meals for themselves and their children.

In addition to providing meals for families, The Vegan Taste also donates leftover produce to Better Piggies Sanctuary. This partnership highlights Chef Wyrick’s dedication to sustainability and compassion, as the animals benefits from fresh, nutritious food that might otherwise go to waste. Through these efforts, Chef Wyrick and The Vegan Taste contribute to both human and animal well-being, exemplifying the ethical principles at the heart of the plant-based movement.
